ATTENDANCE The Texas Real Estate Commission rules require full actual attendance for completion. Classes start promptly at 8am. Students who are late may be denied attending the class. This is left to the discretion of the the instructor. Make up work must be accomplished by attending the same time period the next time the course is offered. Class make up sessions must be completed within 90 days of the end of the original course. The exam cannot be given until all work is completed.
STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES Students are responsible for knowing what courses they need to take and should contact the Texas Real Estate Commission with any question regarding their specific needs. Some of the material covered in lecture may not be covered in the outline. It is important that students take notes. Tape recorders and laptops are not permitted. Smoking is not permitted in the classroom; such behavior will subject the student to dismissal. Please have phones and beepers turned off during class. Text messaging during class will not be tolerated.
TUITION PAYMENTS The tuition fee for each course is $140.00. Fees include all books and materials. Payment of tuition is due at the time of enrollment. Hall Real Estate Institute will no longer take payment on the first day of class. Payment can be made by phone by MC/VISA and by mail or in person at the administrative office. There is a $25.00 fee for any returned checks. Late registrations may be subjected to an additional $10.00 fee.
TUITION REFUNDS Tuition refunds for students who withdraw PRIOR to the start of the class will be 50% of the total class fee. Students must withdraw from class no later than 24 hours before class to receive a partial refund. Students who fail to withdraw timely or do not show for class will forfeit their full tuition payment.
EXAMINATIONS Students are allowed two hours for the final examination for each course. Each student must make a grade of at least 70% to receive credit for the course. A student who does not pass the examination will be allowed to retake the exam once after a seven day period. A re-examination fee of $20.00 will be charged. Students who fail the examination on the second try will be required to retake the course at full tuition. Students will receive their certificate of completion at the end of the examination. Review of exams and tests are not permitted. A $5.00 fee will be charged for a copy of each certificate of completion.
CLASS CANCELATION It is rare that Hall Real Estate Institute ever cancels a class. However, we do reserve the right to do so at any time for any reason. A minimum class enrollment of 7 students is required for a course to be presented. Enrolled students will be notified via email at least 12 hours prior to class if there is a cancelation. If Hall Real Estate Institute cancels a class, enrolled students will be entitled to a full tuition refund.
